Mini facelift surgeries are among the most popular and common cosmetic facial surgeries performed today. Dr. Paul Gardner, Dr. Leo Baccaro, and Dr. Jason Crespo specialize in facelift surgery to treat facial wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity, or sagging, in the lower face, due to aging. The mini facelift is a minimally invasive procedure with the main difference from a traditional face lift being less undermining of the skin and limited muscle mobilization. The recovery time for a mini facelift is quick and your results will last!
One of the procedures we’re really excited about here at Gardner Plastic Surgery is our in-office mini facelift. And the reason we’re so excited about it is it is a procedure that is really, really minimally invasive and the results are actually really good. What I love about it is we do that procedure usually on a Monday afternoon, they come in, I see them on Tuesday and very few bruise, very minimal swelling and a week later they look like they haven’t had anything done. After we take the stitches out, they’re ready to go to dinner, go to events, they can be in public and in a week–they are completely healed, and they look great! So that’s why we’re really excited about mini facelifts in the office, under local anesthesia with oral sedation–they don’t wake up with a hangover from the anesthesia–they go on with their lives the next day.
It’s a great procedure.
Once your surgeon is done performing mini facelift surgery, he wraps patients in large, fluffy dressings to minimize swelling and encourage faster recovery periods. Our patients usually require a couple of days of rest before being able to return to their daily activities. Swelling and bruising may last up to a week, but it is considerably less than that seen with a full face and neck lift. As with any surgical procedure, there are risks for complications, such as poor scarring. Your surgeon will discuss this, and any other concerns, with you. Naples Plastic Surgery has years of experience successfully performing surgery and works diligently to help patients enjoy a healthy, pleasant recovery.
